.After my successful solo show at Newlyn's Jupiter Gallery I am happy to say that the Penzance Studios group show has been extended till June 30th and I have an additional two pieces in it.
I am currently working on a collection of works that hopefully will result in 10 wall works and 11 three dimensional pieces. I'm not yet sure what they will be made from yet. They are just card maquettes at the moment. The collection will be called "A Throw Of The Dice Never Will Abolish Chance". More of which later...

I'm happy to announce that I will be showing some new work, alongside some older pieces, at Newlyn's Jupiter Gallery, from May 24th to June 2nd. The day before the Penzance Studios Spring Exhibition, which I will also be participating in, opens and coinciding with the first weekend of Cornwall Open Studios. I didn't have time to sign up for the Open Studios when I was moving down to Penzance so it's nice to be able to have something on over those weekends.
I'm going to be showing some work at last, this month. I will be participating in the Penzance Studios Spring Exhibition at Wharfside Arts Hub [Unit 7, Wharfside, Penzance] from May 25th until June 9th. Hopefully I will be able to get my large piece, "My Door Is Always Open" on show at last.
Finally managed to start thinking about new ideas and experimenting with corroding copper. My intention when moving down here was to have a studio with outside space and to work on larger pieces. Although I have a fair sized studio and outside space they are two floors away from each other and access to my studio means I am limited in the size of work I'll be able to get out of there. So, for now I'm keeping things small but persisting with the three dimensional ideas.
I finally have my Penzance studio in the attic of our new seaside home ready[ish]. We got the keys on February 8th and have been getting rid of the furniture the previous owners left behind, fixing things we were unaware needed fixing and decorating the place ever since. So, you can see why there has been a lack of updates. I had my first meeting with the PZ Studios group that I joined in January and am happy to know that there will be two group shows coming up this year. I just need to enter a lot of open calls before it's too late and start looking for somewhere to exhibit on my own next. Oh, and distribute the catalogues I picked up at the meeting. Also, need to learn to stop banging my head on those beams and looking out the window at the sea.
