I've got a big, approximately 4ft square, piece of wood to paint on, so I've been mocking up some ideas in Photoshop. It's the closest I get to sketching. I've got some smaller works on paper to do in November so not sure if I will start the big one this year or not. And any of these ideas that I don't use I can use for smaller pieces.

I posted these on here back in August, with the intention of adding more to the series. I haven't done that yet, but I'm pleased to say that these four have all sold in the past week. So thank you, Woodfield Pavilion, the Streatham Festival and The Streatham Wine House, who all had a hand in their sales in one way or another. Maybe I should get another four painted for Christmas! I could have sold the pink one three times over. Amusingly, a smaller version of the pink one was rejected by the RA Summer Exhibition selectors and the other three were rejected by the Marshwood Awards selection committee.
I'm not, unfortunately, but this piece is, thanks to my neighbour and fellow artist Luana Asiata. Luana is curating an art show back in her hometown of Auckland and asked some artist to contribute to the show. I didn't have any small works so I painted this, based on the negative spaces in the letters N and Z
Here's a little guide of where to find my various works in the Streatham Festival. These four will be in the Streatham Tate Library These two will be in the Woodfield Pavilion And this one will be in Charles Carter Hair...
There may still be others there and elsewhere yet. Thanks to Art Radar for featuring me on their blog
