<![CDATA[ stevewilde.com - News]]>Sun, 09 Aug 2020 05:47:26 +0100Weebly<![CDATA[Instagram Shop Live At Last]]>Wed, 05 Aug 2020 13:48:02 GMThttp://stevewilde.com/news/instagram-shop-live-at-lastI can only assume that changes that Facebook made for small businesses during Covid lave led to this; because after over a year of trying to get it to work I can finally sell items through Instagram. Admittedly the products take you to this site and then either on to Etsy or a link to e-mail me for a Payment Link but still, it's cheaper than a monthly payment for an e-commerce option.

What's a payment Link I hear you ask. Well, a Payment Link is something that I will send to you via SMS, Whatsapp or email. It offers a great alternative payment method when you can’t pay face-to-face. Once I have sent the link you can enter your card details on your phone, tablet or computer. None of your information is stored and as soon as payment is sent the link is deactivated.

<![CDATA[Exhibition Incoming]]>Wed, 22 Jul 2020 09:42:17 GMThttp://stevewilde.com/news/exhibition-incomingA date has finally been announced for the Town House Open Exhibition, in Spitalfields, assuming there are no new Covid restrictions imposed in the meantime. The exhibition will run from September 12th to October 11th in the Town House Gallery in Fournier Street. My piece, Woven In Time [below] will be included in the show and available to buy.

And those Paypal buttons I was wittering on about a couple of weeks ago have been removed. Too ugly!

<![CDATA[Paypal Button?]]>Fri, 10 Jul 2020 15:40:57 GMThttp://stevewilde.com/news/paypal-buttonI'm trying out some Paypal buttons on the 5x5 paintings on my Artist Support Pledge page with a thought to moving my prints away from Etsy and selling them from this site directly. I'm not sure they are particularly pleasing to the eye just yet but hopefully they work! I'll have to work my way up to adding a shopping cart next .]]><![CDATA[Lockdown Week 15]]>Wed, 08 Jul 2020 12:57:44 GMThttp://stevewilde.com/news/lockdown-week-15So, as we pass the 100 days mark and the ill advised easing of restrictions come into play, I think I'll stop the diaries here. And I'll finish with a collection of Urban Art Fair images. All the things I didn't sell. Despite masses of social media posting over the weekend of the event I didn't make any sales, so despite the partially reduced fee this year I am out of pocket. Hopefully I can recoup my losses via the Artist Support Pledge instead. The days in the last zine bear no resemblance to those on the lockdown web pages as I decided just to fill it with Urban Art Fair images and the daily updates were all done retrospectively anyway. It all got a bit chaotic last week!

<![CDATA[Urban Art Brixton Is [Virtually] Underway]]>Sat, 04 Jul 2020 11:36:10 GMThttp://stevewilde.com/news/urban-art-brixton-is-virtually-underwayThis year's Urban Art Fair has kicked off. No sunny street camaraderie for the artists this year though. We are all online socially distanced but artistically united. It is mostly happening on Instagram and twitter but some artists have open studios. Follow the #urbanartbrixton and #artistsupportpledge hashtags to find something new for your home/office
