I've had to put the price of my Brixton Sane t-shirt up to £25.00 as after my last sale and Etsy's increased prices plus production I lost 25p at the £20.00 price!

I've had my graphic design hat on this week working on this little design for a Brixton Brewery/Bowie/BFI competition. I went for Berlin period Bowie, Hence the name "Helden" [German for Heroes] and took the "I wish, I wish you could swim. Like dolphins, like the dolphins can swim" line as my cue for a "fun design" [as the brief said] as there isn't a lot of fun on any of the Berlin period albums! Let's see how I fare this time. I didn't do so well when i entered the Pressure Drop Brewery competition a couple of years ago.
I've made a mock up of the sales I have made this year. Well, since August actually. Only one online sale, the rest have been through two galleries and two art markets; plus the commission... and there's still December to go! Just got to build on that now. So thank you if you bought one or more of these. it has been very much appreciated.
I've created this 12" square giclee print, H is for Hug, for valentines Day. Two Ellipses having a hug. Handy too for sending virtual hugs to friend during lockdown.
Well, nothing is new is it? But after creating an artwork a day during the 1st lockdown I haven't managed to produce much at all towards the end of last year. But I have been mulling over ideas for 2021. Inspired by a phrase in Michael Hampton's Unshelfmarked [Uniform Press] I've been inclined to combine my photography, painting and interest in graphic design in some way for some time and I have included text in my paintings from time to tine anyway. It does mean that the finished pieces will ultimately be digital prints but I'm hoping [cue that phrase] Taxanomically Awkward. The image above is just something I knocked up to illustrate the idea for this post but I may stick to the double spread idea. Anyway, Happy New Year, if such a thing is possible!
