Somehow it's September already. August shot by once my solo show at the St. Ives Arts Club ended. I was very happy with my seven sales, along with another at the Penwith Gallery, but glad to get back to making work for this month. The pieces that didn't sell at the Arts Club will be on show upstairs at the Men-an-Tol Brewhouse in Penzance from the 2nd and I have two more from that show in the Penzance Studios Autumn Exhibition, which opens on the 5th September, at the Wharfside Arts Hub in Penzance, alongside a large diptych that I finished just in time. [see below]. On September 12th I will have more work at the St. Ives Arts Club, as part of the September Festival and on the same day the Royal West of England Academy 173rd Annual Open starts in Bristol; which I have a piece in. I will be at the Private View on the Friday night, which is now sold out.
Next, is planning for, potentially, four more shows before the year is out and making more larger pieces.

The Penzance Studios Spring Exhibition has been extended until May 16th. I am pleased to say I had my fourth sale of the year there. I haven't managed to register a sale at the Penwith Gallery Associate Members show this time round though, after ringing up two sales there earlier in the year. That show ends on May 2nd but I now have two paintings in the St Ives Society of Artists Spring Open [see below] until June 19th. If you are in West Cornwall or visiting this month pop in and see the shows.
I'm very happy to say that Quayside II has sold at Penwith Gallery, as part of the Associate Members Exhibition. I'll be rushing a replacement piece there tomorrow morning for the final few days. The show closes on Saturday 21st and the gallery is open from 10-5.00 daily until then.
I am very happy to say I have had this new painting, the first of the year, accepted for the Penwith Gallery Associate Members Exhibition. It opens, with a Private View at 5.30 - 7.30, on January 23rd and runs until February 21st. The piece is called Quayside and is acrylic on MDF.
I'm happy to say that Dodecophany sold at the PZ Studios Summer Exhibition at Penzance School of Art. Still three more shows to come this year and possible two others and I already have one in the diary for 2026. I will be exhibiting with Martha Winter and Karen Foss at the Salthouse gallery in St. Ives next June. More details nearer the time.
