Woohoo, I've been shortlisted for the Brixton Art Prize! I'm one of the 20 artists that will be taking part in the public exhibition at Brixton's Department Store from Friday 1st July - 3rd July 2022 open 10am-6pm daily. I'm a bit excited!

Ooh, bit tardy on the updates this month. So, just dropped this off at the Townhouse Spitalfields for stage 2 of the selection process for this Summer's Open and Camberwell Arts Market is looming with only 2 weeks to go so I'm thinking frames. I'm also deciding what to enter into the next show at the Woodfield Pavilion.
I uploaded this as my entry to the Brixton Art Prize today. Yes, gone a bit 3-D! It's called Where We Used To Live. There may be more of them if I can get lighter breeze blocks. This one was 15kg.
After falling at the first hurdle in my RA Summer Exhibition submission attempt this year, I have now submitted these first two to the Brixton Bugle Summer Exhibition and the third to the 2022 Townhouse Open. Lets see what arises. In the meantime I'm smashing the shit out of a 15kg Breeze Block for my Brixton Art Prize entry. There's blood and blisters! Self-Assembly Constellation [mixed media on 24" x 20" canvas]As Day Follows Night [mixed media on 20" x 24" wood panel][In The City] It's Hard To Be Alone [acrylic on 24" x 20" canvas]Thank you to Aire Place Studios for sending me a PDF of the catalogue for the Print It! 2022 exhibition earlier this month. I couldn't make it up to Leeds to see the show for myself and a catalogue was promised in the post but I haven't received one yet.
