 My obsession with photographing walls started here. In New Orleans. I can't remember what year but I'm guessing about 1998. I uploaded this to flickr in 2004 [shot on an old Pentax SLR and scanned] and noticed it as I downloaded everything from there before closing my account.
Prompted by a suggestion to write an essay on the effects of photography on abstract art while I was studying graphic design my interest in abstract expressionism soon outweighed my interest in design and I started photographing walls with "artistic qualities".
